The Brotherhood's Rosary
(An optional private devotion)
1. The Nicene Creed (* marks an article of the creed)
*I believe in one God, the Father Almighty, Maker of Heaven and earth and of all things visible and invisible;
*And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Only-begotten, Begotten of the Father before all worlds, Light of Light, Very God of Very God, Begotten, not made; of one essence with the Father, by Whom all things were made:
*Who for us men and for our salvation came down from Heaven, and was incarnate of the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and was made man;
*And was crucified also for us under Pontius Pilate, and suffered and was buried;
*And the third day He rose again, according to the Scriptures;
*And ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father;
*And He shall come again with glory to judge the living and the dead, Whose Kingdom shall have no end.
*And I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, and Giver of Life, Who proceeds from the Father, Who with the (+) Father and the Son together is worshiped and glorified, Who spoke by the prophets;
*And I believe in One Holy Catholic and Apostolic Church.
*I acknowledge one baptism for the remission of sins.
*I look for the resurrection of the dead,
*And the life of the world to come. Amen.
2. Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God. The Lord is One. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your might. And you shall love your neighbor as yourself.
3. In the name of the Father who is the Father of Light and the giver of all good gifts. Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, Holy One, Have Mercy Upon Us. 4. In the name of the Son who is my Redeemer and the source of my salvation. Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, Holy One, Have Mercy Upon Us.
5. In the name of the Holy Spirit who is my comforter and guide. Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, Holy One, Have Mercy Upon Us.
6. Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy; according to the multitude of Your tender mercies blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin! For I know my transgressions and my sin is ever before me. Against You, You only, have I sinned and done that which is evil in Your sight, so that You are justified in Your sentence and blameless in Your judgement. Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity and in sins did my mother conceive me. Behold, You desire truth in the inward being; therefore teach me wisdom in my secret heart. Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean; wash me and I shall be whiter than snow. Fill me with joy and gladness; let the bones which You have broken rejoice. Hide Your Face from my sins and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a clean heart, O God, and put a new and right spirit within me. Cast me not away from Your presence and take not Your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of Your salvation and uphold me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Your ways and sinners will return to You. Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation, and my tongue will sing aloud of Your deliverance. Lord, open my lips and my mouth shall show forth Your praise. For You have no delight in sacrifice; were I to give a burnt offering, You would not be pleased. The sacrifice acceptable to God is a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart, O God, You will not despise. Do good to Zion in Your good pleasure; rebuild the walls of Jerusalem. Then You will delight in a sacrifice of righteousness, in burnt offerings and whole burnt offerings: then bulls will be offered on Your Altar.
The Crest: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The same was in the beginning with God. All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life; and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in darkness; and the darkness comprehends it not. He is the true Light, which lighteth every man that comes into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not. He came to his own, and his own received him not. But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God. And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
7 16. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women. And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Son of Mary, Son of the living God, have mercy on us, now and at the hour of our death, Amen.
17. We set the keeping of Christ about us. We beseech the guarding of God with us to possess us and protect us. May the Gospel of Christ, King of salvation, be as a mantle to our bodies. Amen.
18 27. Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women. And blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Son of David, Son of the living God, have mercy on us, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
28. May the Cross of Christ be between us and all ill will, encompassing us in His might and shielding us from every harm, from every specter, from every evil. Amen. 29 38. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Son of Mary, Son of the Living God, have mercy on us, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
39. Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed by thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever and ever. Amen.

40 49. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Son of Mary, Son of the Living God, have mercy on us, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
50. Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now, and shall be forever, world without end. Amen.
51 60. Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus. Son of Mary, Son of the Living God, have mercy on us, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.
The Crest: Prayer for others.
61. Abba Father, we adore Thee. 62. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, Have mercy on us.
63. Lord Jesus Christ Son of the Living God, Have Mercy on Us.
64. Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Living God, Grant us Thy Peace.
65. I adore thee, O Christ, and I bless thee, because by thy holy Cross thou hast redeemed the world. Amen.
66. I bind unto myself this day, the Name, the Strong Name of the Trinity, by invocation of the same. In the Name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. The Three in One, The One in Three by whom all nature has creation, Eternal Father, Spirit, Word   Praise to the Lord of my Salvation. My Salvation is in Christ the Lord. Amen

Psalm 148

Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD from the heavens; praise him in the heights!

Praise him, all his angels; praise him, all his hosts!

Praise him, sun and moon, praise him, all you shining stars!

Praise him, you highest heavens, and you waters above the heavens!

Let them praise the name of the LORD! For he commanded and they were created.

And he established them forever and ever; he gave a decree, and it shall not pass away.

Praise the LORD from the earth, you great sea creatures and all deeps,

fire and hail, snow and mist, stormy wind fulfilling his word!

Mountains and all hills, fruit trees and all cedars!

Beasts and all livestock, creeping things and flying birds!

Kings of the earth and all peoples, princes and all rulers of the earth!

Young men and maidens together, old men and children!

Let them praise the name of the LORD, for his name alone is exalted; his majesty is above earth and heaven.

He has raised up a horn for his people, praise for all his saints, for the people of Israel who are near to him.

Praise the LORD!

His Mercy Endures For Ever

O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good,
for His mercy endureth for ever.

So let Israel now say,
His mercy endureth for ever,
So let the house of Aaron now say,
His mercy endureth for ever.

So let them now that fear the LORD say,
His mercy endureth for ever.
Out of my straits I called upon the LORD; He answered me with great enlargement,
His mercy endureth for ever.
The LORD is for me; I will not fear; what can man do unto me?
His mercy endureth for ever.

The LORD is for me as my helper; and I shall gaze upon them that hate me.
His mercy endureth for ever.
It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in man.
His mercy endureth for ever.

It is better to take refuge in the LORD than to trust in princes.
His mercy endureth for ever.
All nations compass me about; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off.
His mercy endureth for ever.
They compass me about, yea, they compass me about; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off,
His mercy endureth for ever.
They compass me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns; verily, in the name of the LORD I will cut them off,
His mercy endureth for ever.

Thou didst thrust sore at me that I might fall; but the LORD helped me.
His mercy endureth for ever.
The LORD is my strength and song; and He is become my salvation,
His mercy endureth for ever.
The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tents of the righteous; the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly,
His mercy endureth for ever.

The right hand of the LORD is exalted; the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly,
His mercy endureth for ever.
I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD,
His mercy endureth for ever.
The LORD hath chastened me sore; but He hath not given me over unto death,
His mercy endureth for ever.

Open to me the gates of righteousness; I will enter into them, I will give thanks unto the LORD,
His mercy endureth for ever.
This is the gate of the LORD; the righteous shall enter into it,
His mercy endureth for ever.
I will give thanks unto Thee, for Thou hast answered me, and art become my salvation,
Your faithful love endures for ever.

The stone which the builders rejected is become the chief corner-stone,
Our Lord endures, HE is our foundation
His mercy endureth for ever.
This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes,
His mercy endureth for ever.

This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
His mercy endureth for ever.
We beseech Thee, O LORD, save now!
We beseech Thee, O LORD, make us now to prosper!
Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD; we bless you out of the house of the LORD.
The LORD is God, and hath given us light; order the festival procession with boughs, even unto the horns of the altar.

Thou art my God, and I will give thanks unto Thee;
Your faithful love endures for ever.
Thou art my God, I will exalt Thee.
Your faithful love endures for ever.
O give thanks unto the LORD, for He is good,
His mercy endureth for ever.

Grasp the hearts of all that reach to Thee
Heal our souls, bind up our nation.
In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit - Amen.

Saint Patrick's Breastplate

We bind unto ourselves today the strong Name of the Trinity, by the invocation of the same, In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, the Three in One, the One in Three.
We bind unto ourselves this day forever, by power of faith, Christ's incarnation; His baptism in the Jordan River; His death on cross for our salvation; His bursting from the spiced tomb; His riding up the heavenly way; His coming on the day of doom; We Bind unto ourselves today.
We bind unto ourselves the power of the great love of the Cherubim; the sweet "Well done" in judgement hour; the service of the Seraphim, Confessors' faith, Apostles' words, the Patriarchs' prayers, the Prophets' scrolls; all good deed done unto the Lord, and purity of simple souls.
We bind unto ourselves today the virtues of the starlit heaven, the glorious sun's life-giving ray, the whiteness of the moon at even, the flashing of the lightning free, the whirling wind's tempestuous shocks, the stable earth, the deep salt sea, around the old eternal rocks.
We bind unto ourselves today the power of God to hold and lead, his eye to watch, his might to stay, his ear to hearken to our need. The wisdom of our God to teach, his hand to guide, his shield to ward; the Word of God to give us speech, his heavenly host to be our guard. Against the demon snares of sin, the vice that gives temptation force, the natural lusts that war within, the hostile ones that mar our course; or few or many, far or nigh, in every place, and in all hours, against their fierce hostility, We bind to ourselves these holy powers.
Against all Satan's spells and wiles, against false words of heresy, against the knowledge that defiles, against the heart's idolatry, against the wizard's evil craft, against the death wound and the burning, the choking wave and poisoned shaft, protect us Christ till your returning.
Christ be with me, Christ within me, Christ behind me, Christ before me, Christ beside me, Christ to win me, Christ to comfort and restore me, Christ beneath me, Christ above me, Christ in quiet, Christ in danger, Christ in hearts of all the love me, Christ in mouth of friend and stranger.
We bind unto ourselves the Name, the strong Name of the Trinity; by invocation of the same: In the Name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, The Three in One, and One in Three, of whom all nature has creation: Eternal Father, Spirit, Word, praise to the Lord of our salvation, salvation is of Christ the Lord. Amen

Our Heavenly Father please let the wisdom and strength of this, Saint Patrick's prayer be the heart of all who wish to heal our country, especially those in authority and those seeking the offices of authority. - Amen.

Kyrie Eleison

Lord Have Mercy

And The Lord Said Unto Me.

The Lord said to my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, until I make your enemies a footstool for your feet.

Te Deum

Very early in my life I fell in love with the wisdom of the ancient prayers. The most intricate theology and greatest spiritual instruction is held in the Church's prayers. Extemporaneous prayers of individuals is worthy, but the wisdom of the ancient prayers is so much more.

The earliest extra-biblical prayer (that would be the oldest prayer held outside of Scripture in the Tradition of the Church) is a prayer, prayed at sunset - the which I pray everyday at sunset - and it has opened the evening prayers of the church for 2000 years - the prayer is older than parts of the New Testament and was inspired by the psalmists words: "Let the lifting up of my hands be an evening sacrifice."

There is no more peaceful place on earth than standing in your prayer corner as the outside light fades, lighting the prayer lamps and singing:

"O Gladsome Light of the holy glory of the immortal, Heavenly Holy Father: Blessed Jesus Christ! Now that we have come to the setting of the sun, and see the light of evening, We praise God, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (+) For it is right at all times to worship You with voices of praise, O Son of God and Giver of life. Therefore all the worlds glorify You!"

The video is the Te Deum Te Deum (for 1600 years this prayer has been sung somewhere on this earth every single day.) - The singers are singing in Latin - here is the English Translation:

We praise Thee, O God: we acknowledge Thee to be the Lord.
All the earth doth worship Thee and the Father everlasting.
To Thee all Angels: to Thee the heavens and all the Powers therein.
To Thee the Cherubim and Seraphim cry with unceasing voice: Holy, Holy, Holy: Lord God of Hosts. The heavens and the earth are full of the majesty of Thy glory.
Thee the glorious choir of the Apostles.
Thee the admirable company of the Prophets.
Thee the white-robed army of Martyrs praise.
Thee the Holy Church throughout all the world doth acknowledge.
 The Father of infinite Majesty.
Thine adorable, true and only Son Also the Holy Ghost the Paraclete.
Thou art the King of Glory, O Christ.
Thou art the everlasting Son of the Father.
Thou having taken upon Thee to deliver man didst not abhor the Virgin's womb.
Thou having overcome the sting of death didst open to believers the kingdom of heaven.
Thou sittest at the right hand of God in the glory of the Father.
We believe that Thou shalt come to be our Judge.
We beseech Thee, therefore, help Thy servants: whom Thou has redeemed with Thy precious Blood.
Make them to be numbered with Thy Saints in glory everlasting. Lord, save Thy people: and bless Thine inheritance.
Govern them and lift them up forever.
Day by day we bless Thee.
And we praise Thy name forever: and world without end. Vouchsafe, O Lord, this day to keep us without sin. Have mercy on us, O Lord: have mercy on us. Let Thy mercy, O Lord, be upon us: as we have hoped in Thee. O Lord, in Thee have I hoped: let me never be confounded.
